What Ignition Lockout means
Ignition Lockout means the boiler has failed to ignite.
Safe check
Check whether other gas appliances work and, if you use a prepayment meter, that it has credit. Contact your gas supplier if the supply is interrupted. In cold weather, thaw an accessible frozen condensate pipe from ground level with warm (not boiling) water. Then follow the guide to restart once only.
When to contact an engineer
The code remains after one restart or the condensate pipe cannot be reached safely; arrange a Gas Safe registered engineer.
Safety notice
