BoilerBuddy account controls
Account deletion
You can delete a homeowner account from Dashboard → Settings. The control requires two confirmations: type DELETE exactly and enter the current password.
What the operation deletes
BoilerBuddy checks your signed-in session and current password before starting the operation. In one database transaction, it deletes boiler profiles explicitly owned by your account, fault-history records linked to those profiles, pending check-ins with your matching explicit homeowner user ID, authentication sessions, authentication accounts, and your homeowner user record. If the operation fails before the transaction commits, the database changes roll back. Better Auth is used for authentication and password verification; the server-side transaction performs the record deletion. After the transaction commits, Better Auth signs out the account and clears its session cookie.
Records outside this operation
This operation does not delete legacy or email-linked check-ins without explicit ownership, contact messages, coverage-interest submissions, waitlist entries or their location rows, generic verification records, engineer referrals, funnel events, or any other record whose ownership cannot be reliably established. It does not infer ownership from an email address, postcode, report content, or another indirect identifier.
Engineer accounts
An account with an engineer profile cannot be deleted through this homeowner account control. For assistance, contact [email protected].
