A boiler fault code alone is not a gas or carbon-monoxide emergency. If you smell gas, a CO alarm sounds, or someone has possible carbon-monoxide symptoms, leave and call 0800 111 999 from outside.

Safe check: Check whether other gas appliances in the home work. If none work, check that the gas supply is on at the meter and that a pre-payment meter has credit.

Gas Safe registered engineer: Contact Ideal or a Gas Safe registered engineer if the boiler still fails to operate after the guide checks.
