Renting? Report it to your landlord or housing provider first. They are responsible for gas safety and boiler repairs, and the repair should not cost you.
What 259 means
The official Greenstar 8000 Style Combi manual includes code 259 in its fault code table on printed page 75. The manufacturer table linked below gives the display text and fault category.
Safe check
Make a note of the displayed code. Do not remove the boiler casing or inspect internal gas, electrical or combustion components.
When to contact an engineer
Use only the homeowner action in your product guide. If this fault or maintenance message remains or returns, contact Worcester Bosch or a Gas Safe registered engineer.
Safety notice
A boiler fault code alone is not a gas or carbon-monoxide emergency. If you smell gas, a CO alarm sounds, anyone feels unwell, or there is an unsafe flame, leave and call 0800 111 999 from outside.
