What F.28 means
F.28 indicates that the ecoTEC pro could not establish a flame after three ignition attempts and has entered fault mode. The manual notes that some shared-table codes may not be visible on every product variant.
Safe check
Check the display and follow the user manual for one fault-clearance attempt only. Do not remove the casing or repeat resets when the code returns.
When to contact an engineer
The ignition fault remains after the documented reset attempt, the boiler locks out again, or another fault is shown.
Safety notice
A boiler fault code alone is not a gas or carbon-monoxide emergency. If you smell gas, a CO alarm sounds, anyone feels unwell, or there is an unsafe flame, leave and call 0800 111 999 from outside.
