What F.29 means
Operating failure: re-ignition was unsuccessful; an intermittent interruption to the gas supply is one possible cause. The manual warns that some shared-table codes may not be visible on every product variant.

Read and note the displayed code and visible external indicators. Do not investigate gas controls or repeat resets.
When to contact an engineer
If F.29 remains or returns, arrange a Gas Safe registered engineer to diagnose the ignition fault and any internal gas or combustion components.
Safety notice
A boiler fault code alone is not a gas or carbon-monoxide emergency. If you smell gas, a CO alarm sounds, anyone feels unwell, or there is an unsafe flame, leave and call 0800 111 999 from outside.
