What F.22 means
F.22 indicates insufficient water in the heating system and the boiler has stopped to protect itself. The manual notes that some shared-table codes may not be visible on every product variant.
Safe check
Read the pressure display without opening the casing. If it is below the range shown in your user manual, use only the manufacturer-described filling procedure.
When to contact an engineer
The pressure will not hold, falls again, rises unexpectedly, or the code returns after the documented reset procedure.
Safety notice
A boiler fault code alone is not a gas or carbon-monoxide emergency. If you smell gas, a CO alarm sounds, anyone feels unwell, or there is an unsafe flame, leave and call 0800 111 999 from outside.
