E133 boiler fault code
Promax Combi 24/28/33 HE Plus A
What E133 means
E133 means the boiler could not establish or detect a flame. The manual lists an interrupted gas supply, failed ignition or a flame that was not detected as possible causes.
Gas Safe engineer: If the boiler does not relight after one reset or E133 returns, contact a Gas Safe registered engineer to investigate the ignition, gas supply or flame-detection fault. Do not open the casing or adjust gas components.
Safe check
Do not reset if you smell gas, a CO alarm sounds, anyone feels unwell or there is an unsafe flame — leave and call 0800 111 999 from outside. Otherwise, check that the gas supply has not been switched off. You may try one reset by holding the selector at Reset for at least 5 seconds, as the user guide says. If it does not relight or E133 returns, stop and contact a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not open the casing.
When to contact an engineer
If the boiler does not relight after one reset or E133 returns, contact a Gas Safe registered engineer to investigate the ignition, gas supply or flame-detection fault. Do not open the casing or adjust gas components.
