What F.22 means
Safety switch-off: low water pressure in the boiler.
Safe check
If an external pressure gauge is visible, note its reading and compare it with the homeowner manual. Do not open the boiler or repressurise if unsure.
When to contact an engineer
Contact a Gas Safe registered engineer if the reading is outside the manual range, the pressure will not hold, or the code remains.
Safety notice
A boiler fault code alone is not a gas or carbon-monoxide emergency. If you smell gas, a CO alarm sounds, anyone feels unwell, or there is an unsafe flame, leave and call 0800 111 999 from outside.
